Give your team the right context

Give your team the right context

Great collaboration depends on shared clarity: who owns what, what’s due next, and where the latest information lives. In Stackby, context travels with the work—so teammates, partners, and leaders can see exactly what matters, act quickly, and keep everything in sync.

Share the right data with anyone

Share focused, role-based views so each stakeholder sees only what matters. Use read-only share links for clients and vendors, hide sensitive fields, and set clear permissions (admin, creator, editor, commenter, viewer) to protect data. This reduces noise, prevents accidental edits, and keeps updates consistent. Share the entire workspace or just a particular database (stack) with your team.

Capture the right data from everyone

Turn requests and ideas into structured records with form views. Require key fields (owner, due date, priority), accept file uploads, and trigger instant notifications or status updates on submission. This standardizes intake, cuts back-and-forth, and keeps a single source of truth. You can use normal Stackby forms (with multiple line items support) or even Updatable forms (for internal or field teams) to not only submit data but also update existing record data via forms layout

Utilize editor view level sharing on tables

Take your user permissions to a notch higher with individual view level sharing on each table. If you've got a team member who you just want to show a subset of your table data - you can use filtered views and just add them onto that view. They will only be able to access that subset of the data when they login and still collaborate on those records in your database.
