Use Apps to view, analyze, and operate on live data in-place—think charts and pivots for reporting, summary tiles for KPIs, importers to bring in external files, and connectors to surface updates without switching tools. Apps are configurable, refresh automatically with the underlying tables, and can be tailored per workspace or use case.

2. Build custom reports in Stackby

Create focused, real-time reports on top of existing views to highlight what stakeholders need now—totals, trends, distributions, and exceptions—without exposing every field. Start from a filtered view, then layer visual elements: number tiles for KPIs, time-series charts for trends, breakdown charts for status or owner, and a compact grid for drill-down.

Best practices:

• Bind visuals to saved views so filters/sorts stay consistent.

• Keep 3–5 core metrics above the fold; add a short “exceptions” list for items needing attention.

• Use clear titles, units, and thresholds; apply light color to emphasize status, not decorate.
